Our Puppy Reserving Policy
To join our waiting list
We find that many people wish to place their
names on a waiting list with us in order to secure a Courtmelyn
Labrador Puppy. This works well with us because we are able to
establish a rapport with new families’ right from the start -
before the puppies are born, until the day you collect your new
puppy. We realise that buying a new puppy can be a daunting
prospect and we therefore aim to make your contact with us as
informative and helpful as we can. A great place to start is to
CLICK on our Application Button which will take you to a simple
form where you can tell us a little bit about yourselves and
your kind of lifestyle. We ask that you carry out as much
research as possible before making a commitment.

On receipt of your application, we let you know
when we anticipate our next litter. We like to be satisfied that
you are ready for a new commitment and that you have the
necessary space and protection in your garden to accommodate
safe play and training a new puppy. Feel free to telephone at
any stage.
On condition that both parties are happy, we will
add your name to our waiting list and ask for a deposit to show
your genuine commitment to us. We email you regularly to let you
know how the pregnancy is developing and of course when the
great day (or night!) arrives and the puppies are born. Once the
puppies are born we let you know what we have and if we are
unable to supply the sex or colour of puppy you desire, then we
refund your deposit straight away. We reserve the right to
withdraw a sale if we feel that the applicant is unsuitable in
anyway. Deposits are non refundable once you have chosen and
viewed your puppy.
When you place a deposit it is non-refundable and
secures a specific puppy to you.
The new puppies
and their Mum are then kept quiet, warm and clean in a specially
adapted whelping room within our family home, where their every
need is catered for. We email photographs of their development
every week for you to see how the litter is progressing and we
involve you as much as we can by letting you know when they open
their eyes, take their first steps and eat their first solid
meal. At 5 weeks old the puppies are socialised, robust and
independent and Mum is relaxed enough to cope with visitors. It
is at this time that we hold our 'viewing weekend' when
we invite our new families to come and meet us, Mum and her
puppies.
Our puppies generally leave us at 8 weeks old,
where on collection we hand over all relevant paper work
(including a puppy sales contract, worming/flea records,
dietary, training/ socialisation and exercise advice, together
with a full veterinary vaccination record and microchip
registration forms).
All puppies are sold as pets and have breeding
endorsements “Progeny
not eligible for registration”
placed on the Kennel Club registration documents and
cannot be bred from.
